The possibility to lock folders and files, so that files/foldes can't be deleted or edited.

Hi, We are creating a "trash can" feature where deleted files can be seen (with a log) + the possibility to restore the files again if needed. Furthermore we are looking into more advanced control for the user permissions.
These initiatives might help with your need, since "locking" files and folders risk creating quite a lot of management in the long run. However it is still taken into consideration.
